After 11 long rounds of Short Course Racing in 2009, Round 12, the final race of the season had come. Chad had been looking forward to this race all year long simply because ” I have nothing to lose, the truck is going home for the season in the trailer either way.  This race will be wide open, anything goes, the truck is either finishing this race on the podium or going home in the trailer in parts.” stated Chad  Holding to his word, Leising put on a show that every fan will remember for years to come which consisted of door to door action on each and every lap and a last turn pass that moved him into the 2nd place position.  We spoke with Chad after the race. ” Wow, what a year.  I came out here to do one thing and that was to drive the wheels off this truck.  Today that was exactly what I did and that race was one of the most fun races I’ve had all year.  I look forward to stepping up our program for 2010 and showing these guys we are here to stay.”
